Beeblebrox
[edit]Is it right that he is materially misrepresenting himself as an admin on en.wikipedia on his user page? - Chris.sherlock2 (talk) 19:53, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Chris.sherlock2: Well, it was true until the aftermath from this edit 17:49, 11 July 2025 (UTC). Pinging @Beeblebrox for comment. — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 20:46, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- I’m a bit concerned by his response to a polite and reasonable query about his adminship lead him to state that my response to when he reported me onto the commons admin board was “Of course that was all couched in a bunch of equivocating bullshit”. I’m not sure I am very happy with this sort of abusive language. - Chris.sherlock2 (talk) 20:51, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Chris.sherlock2: COM:ANU is thataway; bring diffs. And expecting Zaphod Beeblebrox to follow rules is a fool's errand. — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 20:55, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- lol! No, I don't want to increase drama, from past behaviour this is what I expected. My concern is only that he is saying that he is an admin on the English Wikipedia when he isn't. - Chris.sherlock2 (talk) 21:00, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Chris.sherlock2: That indication has been there since Special:Diff/41681259 this edit 22:42, 23 July 2010 (UTC), and true for most of that time. Please drop the stick, if you are unwilling to file a report. — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 21:17, 20 November 2025 (UTC)
- No stick, it was only that I noticed he hadn't removed it. Given he hasn't, OK, happy to report. - Chris.sherlock2 (talk) 21:22, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

William James (bishop) and the image File:The counties of England, their story and antiquities (1912) (14578208158).jpg
[edit]Hello Jeff, long time no wikisee
I was wondering if you would know whom to reach out for to found out how to make an image of both the portrait and the description of the signature under the portrait from William James, Bishop of Durham, 1606-1617. Thank you so much for your time. Lotje (talk) 11:28, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Lotje: Hi, again. I suggest that you post a new section at the bottom of Commons:Graphic Lab/Photography workshop. If you can read or otherwise determine the signature or the identity of the painter, that can inform your request. — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 16:03, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
Done Thank you so much for your help Jeff. Hope I explained it correctly. Cheers. Lotje (talk) 16:18, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Lotje: You're welcome. Please see Special:Diff/1123443227/1123447681. Was it really attributed to the subject? — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 16:30, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, I see, it is not because the signature is under the portrait, it means he was the (original) author. I still have a a lot to learn
Thanks Jeff Lotje (talk) 17:06, 30 November 2025 (UTC)

- Just nominated it for deletion. A different book credits this to Wilfrid Leighton, who died in 1967. -Nard (Hablemonos) (Let's talk) 17:03, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Nard the Bard: just coming back to this item. Would it make sense to have images of the pages starting with List of Illustrations to make life easier for the reader(s)? Thank you so so much for your thoughts. Lotje (talk) 04:53, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
