The file was deleted with no permission and then recreated. It's blatant F5, it doesn't deserve seven more days without permission. Jonteemil (talk) 12:07, 22 July 2025 (UTC)
- @Jonteemil: Then you should explain that it was previously deleted. Just putting a simple "F5" without explanation is not a valid speedy nomination. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 17:33, 22 July 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, King of Hearts! As you probably noticed, Claudiupt agreed to the deletion of the file file:Monumentul Eroilor din orașul Brezoi.jpg, since he cannot prove that he is the author of the controversial photo. Should I make a new formal DR? --Pafsanias (talk) 05:23, 26 July 2025 (UTC)
| File:104 MI BN CoA.svg has been marked for speedy deletion. (Reason: None)

Round 1 of Picture of the Year 2024 voting is open!
[edit]
Dear Wikimedian,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2024 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year is the nineteenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2024) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and top 5% of most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.
Round 1 will end on UTC.
Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Hello!
[edit]Hello! First of all, please understand that I am using a translator.
Thanks to you, I was able to open deletion discussions for the files File:현무 4-4 발사.jpg and File:하이코어 극초음속 발사체.jpg, which were previously deleted immediately. The discussions are still actively ongoing, and I truly appreciate that.
However, I am leaving this message because I have noticed something strange during the current discussions.
At first, a user named Ziv deleted File:하이코어 극초음속 발사체.jpg using a source link that was not clearly verifiable, so I wrote about this issue at Commons:Administrators' noticeboard/User problems#User:Ziv. However, a user named Yann, who is an administrator, quickly closed the discussion by saying that the deletion was appropriate. But as it turned out, it wasn’t correct—because you initiated the restoration process.
It seemed that the users Yann and Ziv were very close to each other. When Ziv wrote on Yann’s discussion board, Yann immediately replied and took action. User talk:Yann#File:Flag of Jutiapa.svg
Later, during the discussion, Ziv mentioned that they knew an administrator who speaks Korean well, and tagged an administrator named Revi C. What’s really strange is that Ziv then wrote on Revi C.’s talk page to thank them for helping with the discussion, and even asked them to analyze my other uploads. User talk:Revi C.#Other uploads by Klgchanu
After that, three more of my images received deletion requests. Ziv left a message saying that Administrator Revi C. had given me a final warning, implying that my account could be blocked.
What I find really strange is that Ziv expressed *gratitude*—as if they were helped out of a difficult situation. Instead of calmly guiding me on what to do, the three of them seemed to continuously pressure me and push for the deletion of my images. It honestly felt like I was being cyberbullied.
From these observations, I believe there is a clear sense of collusion between certain administrators and specific users.
I’m not saying that I am completely innocent. I’ve only been contributing to this wiki for about a year, and I’ve been uploading images for just two weeks. I am still learning, and I’m sure there are things I don’t know and mistakes I’ve made. However, it feels like the user Ziv is leveraging personal connections with administrators to handle these cases.
You are the only administrator who has treated me kindly, so I wanted to at least leave these words of frustration here. Klgchanu (talk) 11:00, 4 November 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Hi King of Hearts. Would you mind taking a look at File:Jack H Breslow.jpg and en:User talk:Bagabondo#Orphaned non-free image File:Jack H Breslow self portrait.png? Is there some way to connect the dots between the image uploaded to Commons and en:Special:diff/Bagabondo/1324977626 or is something else needed? -- Marchjuly (talk) 18:00, 30 November 2025 (UTC)
- I think we need confirmation from Dbreslow8 via COM:VRTS that they are, in fact, the heir of the rights to Jack H. Breslow's self-portrait. -- King of ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ 19:25, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking a look. I've passed this along to the person who asked about it on English Wikipedia. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:16, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
